All Together Now

How do you learn best?

Alone, in solitude?
Amongst friends?

Watching, observing?
Reading? Practice?

All of the above?

The first step to learning is to know how your brain likes to learn and second through deliberate practice.

I recently started a Toastmasters Group for the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO).

In our 90 min sessions twice a month, we practice public speaking skills, at the same are building camaraderie and improv skills.

We learn from the content of our entrepreneurs’ speeches (funny, awkward, and uncomfortable because often the horrific entrepreneur situations they share are all too familiar)

We learn when we are evaluated.

We learn when we participate.

We learn when we know how to provide clear, constructive, and kind feedback.

We learn when we smile.

We learn when we laugh.

The best learning experiences I’ve had have been together — in small connected, group settings.

If you are striving for more happiness in your life, find a group with common interests, where you can learn and grow together.

How do you best learn?

What was the best learning experience you’ve had?

Do share! I’d love to hear from you!

RECOMMENDED BOOK

The Road Less Stupid

One of my Entrepreneur Toasties PK from EO Austin recommended this book. I’m in the middle of reading it and so far it’s FAB!

“She quietly expected
great things
to happen to her,
and no doubt
that’s one of
the reasons
why they did”
-Zelda Fitzgerald
